$400 of a useless cage.

If you are truely looking for a "superior quality cage, this is NOT the cage for you. While the price seemed too good to be true for a superior quality, it was!!
The construction and manufacturing of this cage is unbeleavable poor. Pieces were large and shorter in almost every aspect of the assembly, NOTHING fit! It took two days to put together because most side pieces were 1/8" ot 1/4" off and most had to be hacked sawed just to make the entire cage go together. If you notice the picture advertising the cage is with a Hyacinth macaw, one of the most powerful birds in the kingdom, so we figured it ca certainly take on our Scarlet, again I was fooled. It took Spencer about 10 seconds to realized that he could litterly bend the bars to get his head between them, had we not been there he could have killed himself trying to escape! The bars are anything but "heavy weight" for American Parrot cage standards, we could not even put one of the stone perches onto the bars as they would not support the weight.
The features listed were correct, it did have an open domed play top, that is it should be able to be used but because of the poor construction, you either have to have it opened all the time or bolted shut because it will not close properly on its' own. It DID NOT come with poly resin bowl, they were cheap metal (all 6). The perches were cut too short that they would not fit securly onto the bars, one was so warped that it was beyond help!
The only think that was correct about the description was that the casters were indeed "easy roll", once you finally got them on because they were too large for the holes.
A total disaster! The missing hardware and the bent bottom were identified immediately and the company told, they said they would be sent, but I have yet to see them. The chipped enamel was mine to keep and figure out to repair myself, because I was told they do not do touch up paint. I will call again about the bowls....because USPS had me leave a note at the door saying they could drop it off, Bird.com said they would not allow for returns. This was not "damaged" in shippment" it was damaged before it even was off the manufaturing line. Just a piece of junk for $400.00, so disappointing, I cried.
This cage is worthless to us know and I can do nothing about it.
