Prong Collars are a great way to train your dog efficiently and humanely! The herm-sprenger collar is set up in a way that makes them 10 times more effective and the metal holds up longer. My other prongs I had purchased from the pet stores bend and tarnish within months. The first Herm-Sprenger collar I purchased 2 years ago still looks and works like new!!

I purchased this collar for my Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy about 6 months ago. At first I was very pleased but noticed recently that the collar has rust at several locations. I used these collars in the past with my previous dog and never had this problem. This should not happen especially for the purchase price. I would not recommend at all.

I have have trained 3 Doberman's using the Sprenger collar, it is bar none the best on the market and makes training corrections efficient and easy without injuring the dog due to the way the collar displaces your energy. I have recommended the Sprenger to many a thankful person because it makes training and obedience less stressful for both the owner and dog.

I have used this type of collar for many years on rottweilers, american bulldog, min schnauzer and a tiny sheltie. I found using the small prong to be the best collar even for the larger dogs. They respond well and don't mind having it put on them. Even though my rotties have been obedience trained, very well, I always felt more comfortable having this collar on when going out in public where there might be other large dogs. "an ounce of prevention" goes a long way. I have never NEEDED the prong, but I felt I had utmost control if a situation arose.

This colar works. The dog auto eases up to stop any unconfortable feeling. I have only on very vew occasions had to actully inforce a pull or whet i call and up and snatch woth this colar and it was with a Chinese Sharpie..know to be agressive to other dogs but it stopped is attemp at atacking the other dog. I am very very please with this collar, it will not slip off the head of a dog that has a neck almost the size of the head. that was the major erra with Sharpies..slip to no difference in size of head and neck.m These colars last forever and you can always buy extra links to enlarge it.

I love Herm Sprenger prong collars (they are the best), but one absolutely must be shown how to use it properly by a training professional. That being said, it's easy to use, humane when used correctly, and makes walking one's dog significantly more fun.

The collar is for training purposes only, and not to be worn all the time. The collar is very effective and I highly recommend it.

You must be cautious with this product. If you intend the dog to wear it constantly and use a metal wire crate, the leash connection can get caught on the crate wall's attachments and becomes very difficult to disconnect. And, all this happens with the poor dog being pinched unless he stays pinned to the floor.

My young Lab was uncontrollable on traditional leather or standard choke collars until I put a prong collr on her. Now she is obedient and Top Dog in her puppy class! Highly recommend for hard to control dogs.

This choke collar is the best of its kind. My dog is a huge labrador retriever, and man does she pull! My kids have suffered many (minor, thankfully) injuries from being bowled over when she sees another dog, but no more does this happen - with THIS collar, at least!

I use this with my service dog and while he does pull much I can give him just the right amount of correction without hurting him. The best part is once the dog is trained with the pinch all I have to do is have it make noise and my dog knows he has done something wrong, I don't even have to use the collor as a correction tool.

These collars work great! I have two American Pit bulls that love to pull on walks. Now they behave better. I have tried every other kind (basic choke, and the Halti) and these collars are the best for big strong dogs...
