We have two greencheek conures that LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their happy hut. They snuggle together every night. During the day, they take naps in it and sometimes squabble about who gets to go in first. They haven't destroyed it, but they spend lots of time outside of their cage and have many other chew type toys. The only recommendation I would make is that the straps be made out of a more durable material because some birds would have the flimsy straps chewed in no time. I like that it's washable and very soft. The price is right - I couldn't make it myself for less. Great toy/hut for bird breeds that like a snuggly place to nest.

Think of the Happy Hut as just another toy for your bird to destroy. While my lovebird adored, and protected her Hut, she also tore out all of the fleece from the inside, making it like Swiss cheese. It was dangerous and I thought her feet might get stuck in it. She chewed the edges and the plastic support inside the fabric. However, I dont believe she consumed any of it. Within the first week, she had chewed off the hanging supports, which were simply fabric loops, and I resorted to suspending her it by looping a perch thru the inside of her Happy Hut. Overall, it lasted longer than I thought it would. It was 4 months before I threw it away. Pretty good life for a chew toy. I gave it an overall rating of 3 stars because the straps were a poor design, but by bird did thoroughly enjoy her Hut the entirety of its life.
